I have been a road cyclist for about 17 years and like everyone I have searched for the latest and greatest equipment, proper/best fit, and the most comfortable seat. I even hired a coach to help me reach my best performance.  And like other cyclists who spend a great deal of time on the bike, my body started to compensate in so many ways.  My neck, back, knees, and hips were, to say the least, a mess!  So I began the ultimate search for relief.  My first attempt started with a Chiropractor which helped with temporary relief so I found myself going every other day.  Then I tried Yoga, but that relief didn’t last either. With all this going on I really tried to stay current and up on my bike fits. At one of my visits, my fitter told me that my right leg was considerably shorter than the left…I thought, what? How do I fix that?

This observation started to make sense because my hips were really getting to the point where I was starting feel like they were locking up if I wasn’t on the bike and/or pedaling.  And if that wasn’t enough my lower back started bother me, so I thought I would try physical therapy.  This helped some but much like the Chiropractic work, it didn’t solve my problem/pain, it just provided short-term relief.  I truly felt I was exploring and exhausting all my options, and started to believe that this was going to be the “new norm” for me.  That I would spend hours on the bike pulling my body out of alignment, then driving to the Chiropractor or PT for short-term relief; so on and so forth. This was a vicious cycle I really did not want be become normal.

In conversation with friends one day about bike fits, discomfort on the bike and all of the issues one experiences, I learned that Ted Dardzinski, who rides in our club, could possibly help. At that point I had explored all other possibilities, and thought why not–I had nothing to lose and everything to gain. I called Ted and we met at a local coffee shop so I could learn more about his program and technique. We spent some time talking about what I was going through and what I had done, my history, etc.  Then he explained his program to me and that if he were to help me I would be the one to do all of the work and make the investment in myself.  It didn’t take me very long to be interested in the program and I made my first appointment. It was like nothing I had ever done before. Within the first 15 minutes or so of my session (in the comfort of my living room), my hips were in alignment for the first time without any manipulation of any kind.  I truly could not believe it!  It was like magic! With the series of exercises he put me through, I my hips were in place!  I think it was that moment when I realized that all I had to do after each ride was my TEDD Program and I would not have to go to anyone to put me back in place ever again.  The next day on the bike was the moment every rider wants to experience—where the second day ride was just as good as the day before, if not better. I was completely recovered with fresh legs, aligned hips, even power in both legs…unbelievable!

I have now worked with Ted for about a year and have added a TEDD strengthening program to the mix.  I am so very grateful to be a client of Ted’s. I now know that you do not have to go through life with pain. I would truly recommend him to anyone who is tired of exhausting all options and only getting temporary relief.  Thank you, Ted for teaching me that I do not have to live with pain. You changed my life.
