Last fall my husband started working with Ted and his TEDD exercises to help with some lower back pain and other issues. I would watch my husband doing these exercises and how they were definitely helping him without further injury or the need to be in a gym. One day, after my husband did his workout I told him I felt like I could benefit from the TEDD program so he put me in touch with Ted. Shortly after, I had my first appointment with him. Ted asked me a lot of questions to find out what issues I was having and then he developed my very own plan! I am thrilled with the progress that I have made over the past year. As I improved in some areas he would change up my routines for continuation of gaining more mobility and strength. The exercises vary according to how I feel and/or what activity I am planning on doing. And, I can proudly say that I do my exercises nearly every day — in my home, on my deck, and in my yard! We have purchased a few props for the various exercises and they take very little space! Plus, you can take them on trips! I like to bike, hike, and ski….thanks to the TEDD program, I am able to do these activities! I highly recommend TEDD!

TEDD Overview

Mary is an active 58 year old who started the program without a lot of pain or injuries. One thing she told me during our initial consultation (and one of the reasons she wanted to start her own program) was that she had noticed many people her age or older were falling apart; they were giving up activities they loved because they couldn’t enjoy them anymore due to pain. They blamed it on age. Mary didn’t want to be that person! She wanted to stay active and increase her fitness level and her activity level. Her goals were very realistic. I explained that the TEDD method isn’t about building muscle or losing weight but to become bio-mechanically efficient; to maximize joint mobility with strength throughout the range of motion. If you achieve this, your body moves easily without pain.  You begin to feel younger; you want to do more because it’s easier and best of all, you don’t hurt. You are on your way to being in the best shape of your later adult life–and you can maintain it.

Congratulations, Mary.  Well Done!
