I love bicycle racing. Specifically cyclocross racing and gravel racing. Last year (2016) though I had a tough time getting through the season due to lower back pain. I was comfortable on easy or even moderate rides, but once I dropped the hammer it was only a matter time before my back seized up and I had to back off. I ended up a DNF on my favorite gravel race, The Crusher in the Tushar, and once cross season started in the fall I quickly realized my back was going to be a major inhibitor.

Fortunately I talked to Ted after one of our local cross races and mentioned my problem to him having not a clue in the world about his background. He quickly assured me he could get my back shaped up if I followed his program diligently. I jumped at the chance!

After about a month or so on the program I could race hard again with little if any back tightness. I stayed with the program over the winter as I transitioned into backcountry skiing and noticed much less soreness in my hips and lower back than I usually experience at the beginning of ski season. Nice!

Once bike racing season cranked up in the spring I was pleased to note that my low back pain was no longer a factor. I could go hard up steep grades on rough terrain without the previous pain. My gravel racing season was a success.

Ted has gradually racheted up the intesity of the routines to where I am now doing more strength training along with the stretches and range of motion excercises. I am feeling more powerful on the bike and am looking forward to a great cyclocross season this fall. Thanks Ted!
